Our own Claire Harrison was the Chair of the Commonwealth Bank 2012 Redland Business Awards.
The Redland City Chamber of Commerce proudly supports the recognition of local business achievement through their annual business awards presentation. This was the 21st year and they were renamed and revitalised to promote best practice, innovation and excellence in business.
Claire emceed the launch cocktail party that was held at Sheldon Event Centre on Tuesday 28 August 2012, which was featured in The Redland Times on Friday 3 August and posted on this website.
Claire facilitated a workshop on Monday 3 September 2012 to provide interested companies with further information about the categories and criteria.
Saturday 27 October was the culmination of comprehensive planning and project management by Claire and the committee. The cream of Redland businesses celebrated their award wins at a gala awards dinner, which was attended by 280 people. Canapes, a sumptuous three course dinner, fine wines, a professional comedic MC, Mark McConville and Brisbane best covers band, Hot Sauce ensured an enjoyable evening for all.
The Commonwealth Bank returned again as the naming rights sponsor as well as another 15 platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsors supporting the awards.
